The software could be installed via CD media provided with the startup pack or from the web site. The software needs following prerequisities on your computer:

• Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8

• Windows Installer 3.1

• .Net Framework 3.5 SP1

• SQL Server Compact 3.5

• Microsoft Visual Basic PowerPacks

The above prerequisities are provided to you on the Compact Disk media provided with the startup pack and is automatically installed on the computer if not available.

You may also download and install the software above from Microsoft Corporation's Website by clicking on the links above or from the SMS Ecstasy web distribution center.

Installation Steps

The setup is launched automatically once you insert the CD into your disk drive.

If the setup is not started automatically, follow the steps below:

• Click on Start > Run

• Type X:\setup.exe (X being the drive letter for CD Drive containing the distribution media) and click OK.

• Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

• If setup fails repeatedly, browse through the CD containts and install the following components manually in the following order and then re-run the X:\setup.exe file:
     X:\windowsinstaller3_1\WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe
     X:\DotNetFX35SP1\dotNetFx35setup.exe
     X:\mdac28\mdac_typ.exe
     X:\vbpowerpacks\VisualBasicPowerPacksSetup.exe
     X:\sql server compact edition\SSCERuntime-ENU.msi
  
  Depending on your computer's configuration, you many already have any or all of the above components installed.
  
  If any of the above component fails to install, please check the Microsoft Corporation's website for troubleshooting information for respective component.
